The Best Laid Plans (TBLP) can go wrong!..fiction with suspense/intrigue/passion

Irfan is in haste as he packs his bags. He has a flight to reach Chennai by tomorrow for a ‘price negotiation’ meeting with the multinational his company had signed contract with to develop a biometric solution for their security requirements. Salima, his wife, normally accompanied Irfan on most of his business trips and he had to admit that she was a great asset. She is ‘street smart’ and intelligent; very good in building relationship with new clients in his business operation. Irfan knew that he was lucky to get a wife like Salima. Irfan has the marketing savvy, personality and brilliance to run his business for the last twenty years. But, he was getting weary to meet his ‘expanding business’ requirements which resulted in too much stress for him to bear!

‘A business management graduate from one of the prestigious business schools in Mumbai and the first to land a job in his class of 40 students! ’ Irfan thought. And a IQ of 140 on a test extempore! Salima interrupted his thoughts guiding him to the aisle seat on the F row.

“Fasten your seat belts please.” announced the flight captain. Irfan always preferred an aisle seat so that he need not disturb the co-passenger for anything. And Salima, in contrary, always opted for window seat!

As usual, Irfan picked up the business magazine or a journal/ book on start-ups he carries along with him; he is particularly fast in setting up building automation systems for start ups. Also, he is a good opportunist in deriving sustained profits for his business, from the solutions executed by him across a wide spectrum of new business establishments!

The indicator lamp was glowing…Irfan noticed. The plane was ready to land..and he saw Salima getting ready too..
