So, Will it be Holland or Spain?

The match between Uruguay and Germany was ‘gripping’ yesterday….but ended with the 82nd minute ‘header goal’ by Sami Khedira of Germany earning 3-2 victory to Germany and the third place in the World Cup 2010.

As I anxiously wait to see the World Cup finals, many thoughts get to my mind. Holland ( Netherlands) has been ‘close’ there twice ( in 1974 and 1978) but for Spain this is going to be the first time in the finals. The ‘octopus Paul’ has predicted that Spain will win the finals while the Singapore ‘Parrot Mani’ has chosen Holland to be the winner. Finally, it is a matter of nerves and whichever team is able to hold their nerves……will get the World cup trophy.

World Cup 2010

So, Will it be Holland or Spain?

There is not much to chose between the two, to start with: both have similarly under-performed on the big stage before till now; both have great teams to talk about and both play the match ‘text book’ wise and breathtakingly. They both are eerily similar!! Both have world class goal keepers, solid defences, creative mid-fields, and opportunistic goal poachers.

Yes, We have to watch the game tonight to know the result!
