Bhagavad Gita quotes, “The power of God is with you at all times; through the activities of mind, senses, breathing, and emotions; and is constantly doing all the work using you as a mere instrument.”
This is just one of the quotes glorifying God. There are many like this glorifying God unabashedly in Bhagavad Gita; So, the natural question: Is God perfect to be glorified? The glory of God is realisation that everything is already in equilibrium; roles are pre-defined; worksheets given are already completed; appraisals are timely; and, errors are corrected as soon as they occur. A basic attribute to humankind progress like even ‘time’ is not in our control and we cannot hasten or slacken time! Even, that occurs by natural force beyond our control. Then, where does our self-effort play a role?
Well, there is no singular self at all! Self is part of the whole and definitely you are not in control of the whole. Please do not mistake me, I am not being fatalist; I am just highlighting the truth: Nature is perfect! And, Nature is God – a supernatural force, an illustrated experience of the unknown or as you name it. The four seasons of climate cannot be interchanged to suit our convenience; tall humans cannot be made short and vice versa; color of the skin cannot be decided on our own, pregnancy period cannot be hastened or delayed. can we manufacture a mosquito through our advanced science? can we stop all the flowing rivers at once like nature can? ( example: tsunami in Indonesia devastated 13 countries in just three hours!)
Please understand; perfection is already inherent in Nature! It is humans who are not perfect and they are going through an evolution process – disturbing the nature in the process; and Nature is not owned by humans to be exploited! We are beginning to understand: the human body, states of mind, capability of intellect, diseases, muscles, bones and the list is endless. Still many are beyond our understanding! I like to know the unknown; so I study lot of science literature as well as spiritual writings, articles, notes, attend gatherings where spiritual discourses are held. Yes, it enlightens me; adding knowledge, answering queries, creating inquisitiveness to know more!
The search is ongoing and endless! Deepak Chopra, Andrew Cohen, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Swami Chinmayananda, Dada Vaswani and many more. They all say the same thing – God is perfect, timely, and beyond correction! My ceaseless imperative to evolve is also glory of God; because he raises the queries through me and also finds the answer for me. The result is I am evolving: spiritually, intellectually, physiologically. It is only we, who feel that everything around us is not perfect because we see the Nature objectify our self as reality.
Our perception is limited by time and space and so is our observation! There is inherent perfection in a new-born baby; it is only we who add imperfections to ourselves through bad habits, acquire unwarranted thoughts floating around us, imposing unrealistic conditions on ourselves – we abuse whatever is given to us! We should acknowledge that they are mere possessions and we are not the owners! Then, after having abused, we entertain regrets, negative emotions like anger, jealousy, envy and what not? We think we are perfect and Nature is our servant! Grossly mistaken we are!!
It is very scientific and common sense. If the world was going on without human interference earlier; it must have been perfect from the start, right? Science has improved many things around us – YES, it has! we did invent fire, electricity, water, telephone, radio, light.. stop! Did we discover it or invent it? Did we create anything ourselves out of nothing? God gave us this body, mind, intellect through evolution process; but, Nature was existing always! Nature happened on its own as result of Big Bang theory. It was right there….from the start!!
